Cream of Broccoli Soup


Recipe courtesy of beachbrat

1 -  8oz package frozen broccoli
1 - pint of water
1 - pint of half and half
1/2 - tsp baking powder
2 - chicken bouillon cubes
6 - Tbsp butter
5 - tbsp. flour
Shredded cheddar cheese - if desired

Boil the first 5 ingredients and decrease heat.  Add butter and flour, whisk until there are no lumps.  Let simmer for 30 minutes.  Top with shredded cheddar if desired.  I don't use much salt so I omit, but salt to taste if needed.
