Chinese Dumplings

6-8 oz ground pork, not too lean
1 tsp sugar
1 Tbsp Chinese rice wine
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 sprig green onion/scallion, chopped
1-2 tsp ginger root, chopped finely
1 small garlic clove, chopped finely
2 tsp sesame oil
-------------------------------------
Pre-made dumpling wrappers (round)
Small bowl of water
--------------------------------------

-Mix all ingredients (except wrappers and water) in a bowl. Set aside 25 minutes for flavors to mix.
-Use a small spoon to scoop about 1 tsp of the mixture into the center of a dumpling wrapper.
-Wet the edges of the wrapper with water. Press edges together firmly, forming a half circle.
-Cook in boiling water for about 5 minutes. Drain.
-Serve dumplings as-is
-OR-
-Pan fry the dumplings in some sesame oil and soy sauce for approximately 3 minutes until browned on one side.
