Carmel Chocolate Crunch Bar Cookies

Ingredients:
  • 13x9x2 baking pan
  • 1 14oz bag caramels (approx. 50)
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 bag (6 oz.) semi sweet chocolate chips


Preheat oven to 350.
Heat caramels and water in pan on stove or in microwave, until smooth.
Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, butter, baking soda, and salt in bowl.
Set aside 1 up of mixture (for topping).
Press remaining mixture in ungreased pan.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over the whole thing, in a layer.
Drizzle caramel over the chocolate chips, in a layer.
Sprinkle with rest of flour and oat mixture.
Bake until light golden brown, approx. 15 minutes.

Cool and cut into small squares.
