Steak Pizzaola

Recipe courtesy of Atsbride
1 package skirt steak - at least 1.5 lbs
1 box Pomi Chopped Tomato
1 Tablespoon Tomato Paste
2-3 cloves garlic (more or less to taste)
1 Shallot
1/2 small onion (I use less because I don't really like onions)
1 cup white wine
1 tsp. Hot Red Pepper (more or less to taste)
1 tsp. oregano
Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil

1.  Heat olive oil in deep frying pan - generously coat the bottom
2.  Add Chopped garlic & shallot onion  until brown
3.  Add wine & allow to simmer for about 5 minutes - if the wine cooks off too much, add 1/2 cup more
4.  Add box of pomi chopped tomatoes & turn up to low/medium heat
5.  Add Tomato Paste, Salt, Pepper, Oregano & Hot Pepper, stir
6.  Grill Skirt Steak - I usually allow the skirt steak to marinate at least an hour before ( I usually marinate w/ salt, pepper, olive oil, garlic & onion powder)
7.  I Grill the Skirt Steak to Medium Rare
8.  Cut Skirt Steak into 4 pieces - 1.5 lbs should yield you 4 nice pieces of steak
9.  Add Skirt Steak to sauce
10.  Allow to cook for about another 1/2 hour
11. Serve w/ plenty of bread
12.  You should  have enough sauce to use for 1/2 pound pasta if you wish.
