- Put some olive oil in a saucepan and heat it a little
- Add finely chopped mushrooms (I like to use cremini and portabella, but I don't think it really matters)
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper and any other spice you like (I think I used dried thyme)
- Sauté until soft
- Slice French baguette into thin slices and spread out on a baking sheet
-put some of the cooked mushrooms on each
-put a thin slice of asiago or aged provolone cheese (or if you prefer another type of cheese, it probably doesn't matter that much- I've used those 2 and it turns out good)

- bake in the oven at 375 for about 8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
